Mohseni Ajei Reappointed as Chief Justice of Iran

Hojjato’l-Islam Wal-Muslimin Gholamhossein Mohseni Ajei has been reappointed as Chief Justice of Iran. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed him as the head of the country’s judiciary.
This information was reported in a report by Iran’s Mehr news agency. In a decree issued on Sunday (July 5), Ajei was reappointed for a new term under Article 157 of the constitution.
In the decree, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed gratitude for Ajei’s performance as head of the judiciary. At the same time, he also recalled the implementation of the judiciary development plan emphasized by the Supreme Leader and himself.
He expressed hope that the Iranian people will receive better judicial services with the joint and strong efforts of the head of the judiciary, judicial officials and judges.
