Leakage in hospital oxygen line, child dies
A case of negligence has been filed against the hospital authorities over the death of a four-month-old baby at Baby Care Hospital in Shyamoli, the capital. Relatives claim that the baby Farish died due to a leak in the oxygen cylinder. Tension spread throughout the hospital due to this incident. However, the hospital authorities have denied this allegation.
Relatives allege that despite a leak in the oxygen cylinder while the child was undergoing treatment, the hospital authorities did not take any immediate action. As a result, the child died. However, the doctor on duty claimed that the death had nothing to do with the oxygen leakage. The child was already seriously ill.
As tension spread after this incident, other patients in the hospital were quickly transferred to another hospital. When asked about the complaint, the hospital owner did not speak to the media.
