5 Bangladeshis killed in road accident in Qatar
Five expatriate Bangladeshis were killed in a road accident on Shamal Road in Al-Shahania town, Qatar. The accident occurred today, Sunday (June 21).
The five Bangladeshis who died were residents of Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet. They are Jasim Uddin, Jibal Uddin, Mostaq Ahmed, Zubayer Ahmed and Kader Ahmed from Gachbari village of the upazila. The other person who died in the accident is an Indian national. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at a local hospital morgue.
Ahmed Malek, General Secretary of Jalalabad Association Qatar, said that arrangements are being made to send the bodies of the five expatriates to the country as soon as possible in coordination with the embassy. The deaths of these five expatriates have cast a shadow of grief among the Bangladeshis living in Qatar as well as the families and relatives of the deceased in Sylhet.
