Pakistan PM, Army Chief Head to Switzerland for Iran-US Talks

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir have left for Bürgenstock, Switzerland, to attend high-level talks between Iran and the US. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said this in a statement on social media. Al Jazeera reported this.
The statement also said that Qatar is also expected to participate in the talks. The Foreign Ministry also said that Pakistan will support and work for the implementation of the agreement reached between Iran and the US. US Vice President JD Vance is also traveling to Switzerland to attend the meeting. He left for the country on Sunday (June 21) local time.
Earlier on Saturday (June 20), he told reporters that he hoped for progress in talks on the nuclear issue and a ceasefire in Lebanon. “If you look at the headlines, the situation there (in Lebanon) is actually improving somewhat and tensions are also decreasing.”
