Bodies of mother and daughter recovered in Anwara

The police have recovered the bloody bodies of a mother and daughter from their house in Anwara upazila of Chittagong. A five-year-old child who was seriously injured in the same incident was also recovered. Two bodies were recovered from Chenamti Barua Para area of ​​Ward No. 6 of Parikoda Union of the upazila at around 11:30 pm on Saturday (June 13).
The deceased are Eni Barua (40) and her daughter Priyanti Barua (16). Eni Barua’s son, injured Piyas Barua (5), is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Their house is adjacent to the Chenamti Barua Para Buddhist Vihar Temple. The head of the family, Sujan Barua, works as a security guard in a residential building in Khatunganj area of ​​Chittagong city.
Neighbor Suravi Barua said that people in the vicinity rushed to the spot after hearing screams at night. When they went there, they saw Eni Barua and her son Piyas lying in a bloody state in front of the door of the house. Priyanti Barua’s bloody body was found inside the house. Although arrangements were made to take Eni Barua to the hospital quickly, she died on the spot. Later, the police were informed. After receiving the information, the police of Anwara Police Station reached the spot and recovered the bodies of the mother and daughter.
Meanwhile, Sujan Barua, the husband of the deceased Eni Barua, claimed that he had financial transactions with his neighbor Limon Barua Tezpriya. He thinks that Limon may have come to the house in search of documents related to that transaction and carried out this attack.
Sujan Barua said, I was in the city. I got a call from my elder brother at night and came home and found that everything was over. Anwara Police Station OC Md. Junayet Chowdhury said, the bodies of the mother and daughter have been recovered from the scene. The incident is being investigated seriously. A police operation is underway to identify and arrest those involved. Legal action is being taken in this regard.
