2026 FIFA World Cup: Vinicius’ magic brings Seleção back to parity

Brazil and Morocco faced off in one of the most exciting matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Sunday (June 14). The first half of the match, held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, saw intense fighting on the field and a display of world-class football. The match is now tied 1-1 at the end of the first half.
Morocco played much more organized football than Brazil in terms of team skills at the beginning of the match. Then, the country’s star player Ismail Saberi scored a brilliant chip shot from a devastating counterattack to give Morocco a well-deserved lead.
While Brazil struggled to control the field, Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior took control of the team. ‘Vinny’ single-handedly fooled the Moroccan defense and scored a brilliant equalizer for Brazil with a shot taken at the speed of a bullet. The first half of this classic battle between the world’s two leading superpowers has so far fully met the expectations of the audience.
