Banned Chhatra League leader arrested for writing ‘Joy Bangla’ on BNP office

Police have arrested a banned Chhatra League leader in a case filed in connection with writing the slogan ‘Joy Bangla’ on a shop and BNP office signboard in Monpura, Bhola. Shipon, who was arrested on Wednesday (June 10) afternoon, was sent to jail through a court.
Shipon is the son of Giasuddin Patwari, a resident of Ward No. 1 of South Sakuchia Union. However, the family claims that Shipon was not involved in the sloganeering and commotion. They deliberately accused Shipon in the case and got him detained through the police.
OC of Monpura Police Station Mazharul Islam said that another Chhatra League leader has been arrested and sent to jail in the case of a volunteer party leader.
