Home Minister: Law and order situation has improved a lot compared to 2025

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has claimed that the law and order situation has improved a lot compared to 2025. He said that the people will decide whether the situation is worrisome or not. However, he did not comment on the report of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). He made these comments while participating in an award distribution ceremony at the Secretariat on Monday (June 8) afternoon.
The Home Minister said that the police have become much more people-friendly than before and are working for the people. For this reason, they should be recognized. Mentioning the need to boost the morale of the police, he also said that those who have done commendable work will be given awards. The awards will also include certificates and financial assistance.
At the same ceremony, the Home Ministry awarded 15 police members in recognition of their professional role in three incidents, including the murder of child Ramisa. Each was given a certificate and an honorarium of Tk 20,000. The Home Minister awarded the IGP badge to the three for their commendable role in the speedy arrest and investigation of the accused.
