Ramisa’s father satisfied with verdict, demands speedy execution

The court has sentenced Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Khatun, the main accused in the rape and murder case of child Ramisa, which was discussed in the capital’s Pallabi, to death. The child’s father expressed satisfaction with the verdict. He said, “Alhamdulillah, I am 100 percent happy. If this verdict is implemented, all my hopes will be fulfilled.” He made these comments in response to questions from journalists at the court premises today, Sunday (June 7).
The child’s father said, “I have received the desired verdict. I am grateful to the judge, police, administration, journalists and the people of Bangladesh, who helped me and my family during the time of danger and were by my side mentally.” He also said, “I want to see the death sentence implemented as soon as possible as a trial for the murder of my daughter.”
Incidentally, the court sentenced Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Khatun, the main accused in the rape and murder case of child Ramisa, which was discussed in the capital’s Pallabi, to death on Sunday (June 7). At the same time, Sohel Rana was fined 5 lakh taka and his wife 2 lakh taka.
