Bangladesh will soon be a model country in green and sustainable development: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that the country’s power problem will be solved in the next session of Parliament. He said this at the inauguration ceremony of the renewable solar power on-grid rooftop at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban today, Sunday (May 24). Tarique Rahman said that the Parliament will be the solution to all problems. The government wants to use solar systems in government projects, name buildings, private stages, factories and irrigation management.
The Prime Minister said, ‘In a decade, global solar power production has decreased drastically. As a result, solar energy is now not only environmentally friendly, but it is also a very economically viable solution. Today’s project is a part of that larger journey.’
She also said, ‘I firmly believe that this initiative of the Jatiya Sangsad will inspire all government and private institutions in the country. If every citizen participates in this clean energy journey, then the country can soon become a model country in green and sustainable development.’ Speaker Retired Major Hafiz Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the program after the swearing-in ceremony of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at the request of the Prime Minister. Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmud, State Minister Anindya Islam Amit and Chief Whip of the National Assembly Nurul Islam Moni were also present at the event.
