The Meteorological Department has forecast that temporary gusty winds or gales or rain or thunderstorms may occur in different parts of the country. The agency’s forecast says that temporary gusty winds or gales at a speed of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may blow from the west or northwest in Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions. At the same time, rain or thunderstorms may also occur in these areas.
Due to this, river ports in the concerned areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1. This information was given in the weather forecast given for the country’s inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm today, Thursday (May 21).
In addition, the nationwide forecast released on Wednesday night said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds and thundershowers may occur at many places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at some places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions by 6 pm on Thursday. In addition, moderate to heavy rain may occur at some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
