Tiger cricketer who performs best against Australia to get car

The current ad hoc committee led by Tamim Iqbal has launched a new award initiative to encourage domestic cricketers. After gifting bikes to players in the New Zealand and ongoing Pakistan series, BCB has come up with another big surprise ahead of the Australia series.
This time, the best performer will be given a luxurious Cherry car. A formal agreement was signed between BCB and Cherry in this regard in Mirpur today (May 12). At the event, BCB President Tamim said that the best Bangladeshi cricketer in the ODI and T20 series against Australia will get this special award.
Tamim said that the association of an international brand like Cherry with Bangladesh cricket is a positive message for BCB. Although the image of the board has been damaged in the last few years, now big companies are showing interest in investing in cricket again. Earlier, bike companies were also involved as sponsors in recent series.
He also said that Bangladesh cricket has a history of giving awards for special achievements. His brother and former Tiger cricketer Nafees Iqbal accepted the award during the country’s first Test win. He thanked Cherry for bringing back such an initiative after almost two decades. Regarding the interest of the sponsors, Tamim said, this is not a personal achievement; rather, it is a reflection of trust in the Bangladesh Cricket Board. During his duties as a board member, he contacted the sponsors and they joined in with respect for the BCB.
