Important meeting of the ULSA Executive Committee

An important meeting of the executive committee of UITS Law Student Association was held at the conference hall of Chittagong District Bar Association. The future activities, structural development and long-term plans of the organization were discussed in detail in the meeting. The meeting, chaired by human rights lawyer Advocate Zia Habib Ahsan and moderated by Nazneen Anwar, emphasized on the formulation of a timely and complete constitution. The members participating in the discussion gave constructive opinions on various sections and sub-sections of the constitution. Advocate Zia Habib Ahsan of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh was present as a representative of the UITS LLM batch in the meeting. Advocate Md. Nasir Uddin of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh was present as a special guest and advisor.
Advocate Zia Habib Ahsan, in his speech, said that the success of an organization does not depend on the number of members, but on the unity of goal-oriented and quality-oriented people. He expressed hope to build a strong platform with the students of UITS and all concerned.


Advisor Md. Nasir Uddin said that there is no alternative to a clear constitution to run an effective and ideal organization. He urged UELSA to play a role in enhancing professional skills, establishing the rule of law and ensuring justice for the common people, rather than being just a reunion-based organization. Nazneen Anwar said that the backbone of a well-organized organization is its constitution. He emphasized on building a strong legal platform by uniting the alumni.
The constitution was approved after amending it in the meeting. In addition, it was decided to manage bank accounts, collect members, publish memorials and albums, organize reunion programs, implement legal aid and awareness programs, file public interest litigation (PIL) and undertake various programs related to human rights. Raj, Tama, Abbas, Rasib, Zahid, Mukta, Saiful and many others, among the respected lawyers of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and the Chittagong Judge Court, were present in the meeting.
