‘American puppet bases’ responsible for regional instability: Mojtaba Khamenei

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has blamed the US military presence in the Middle East as the main reason for insecurity there. Al Jazeera News. He made the claim in a message on Thursday (April 30) on the occasion of the Persian Gulf National Day. It is worth noting that this day is celebrated in Iran every year to commemorate the expulsion of Portuguese forces from the Strait of Hormuz in 1622.
The Iranian Supreme Leader said that it is proven that the presence of American foreigners in the Persian Gulf countries and their havens are the most important reason for the region’s insecurity. He warned US allies that these American puppet bases do not have the strength or capacity to ensure their own security. In such a situation, it is futile to expect America to play any role in providing security to countries that are dependent on America or are sympathetic to Americans in the region.
It is worth noting that Iran has always blamed foreign interference for the recent tensions in the Middle East. Khamenei’s statement has further strengthened that position.
