Driver arrested in collision between State Minister Shama Obaid’s car and bus
Police have arrested driver Omar Faruk (25) in the collision between a trust minibus and a car on Bir Uttam Ziaur Rahman Road in Banani, the capital. Banani Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mehedi Hasan confirmed the matter on Wednesday (April 29) afternoon.
He said that at around 9:50 pm on Tuesday, a vehicle carrying the foreign minister collided with a trust minibus under the Chairman Bari footover bridge in the exit area of Bir Uttam Ziaur Rahman Road in Banani Police Station. The state minister’s car was damaged.
Later, the police reached the spot and took the accused bus driver into custody. It is noteworthy that the state minister’s gunman has filed a case with Banani Police Station in this incident.
