Extortion claims at CKD hospital, 7 people including main accused Moin arrested

The RAB has arrested 7 people including the main accused Moin Uddin in the extortion case at kidney doctor Dr. Kamrul Islam’s CKD hospital in Shyamoli, the capital. They were arrested last Sunday (April 12) night. The main accused Moin was arrested from Narail.
Basically, last Friday, there was an allegation of extortion by threatening a local leader using the name of Jubo Dal. At that time, there was also an allegation of harassment by calling Dr. Kamrul an Awami League member.
On receiving the news that night, the president, general secretary and other leaders of the central Jubo Dal rushed to the hospital. They said that the accused Moin Uddin has no connection with Jubo Dal. They also assured that the extortionists will be brought to justice quickly.
It is learned that not only this Friday, but since the July coup, this alleged local leader has been extorting money from the hospital by using various forms of intimidation. There are even allegations that he gathered a crowd in front of the hospital to pressure Dr. Kamrul Islam by branding him as an Awami League member.
