1200 liters of diesel recovered from UP Chairman’s house in Satkhira

A joint force conducted a raid at UP Chairman Ferdous Morol’s house in Kaliganj, Satkhira and recovered 1200 liters of diesel. At that time, UP Chairman Ferdous Morol was fined Tk 10,000. The raid was conducted in the Promandkati area on Sunday (April 12) afternoon.
In this regard, UP Chairman Ferdous Morol said, I have a 1000 bigha fish enclosure and a deku machine. I am a farmer. I have collected this diesel in various ways for irrigation on my land.
Magistrate Ishtiaq Ahmed Apu, who led the raid, said, Ferdous Morol has been fined Tk 10,000 for illegally storing fuel. At that time, six barrels of diesel were seized. The seized diesel has been given to the custody of Kaliganj OC. The Upazila Executive Officer has been ordered to sell diesel at the prescribed price and deposit the money into the state treasury.
