Bangladesh-India ties vowed to further strengthen
Bangladesh and India have agreed to maintain close communication, said Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. He said this after a meeting with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman in Delhi on Wednesday (April 8).
In a post on social media, Jaishankar said, “I am happy to welcome Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and his delegation this afternoon. We discussed various aspects of strengthening our bilateral relations.” The Indian External Affairs Minister added that we also exchanged views on regional and global developments. We have agreed to maintain close communication.
This afternoon, the External Affairs Minister will pay courtesy calls on Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Humayun Kabir, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh on Foreign Affairs, was also present during the meeting with Jaishankar. He is accompanying the Foreign Minister to Delhi.
