2 injured in clash over grains at Natore petrol pump

Two people were seriously injured in a clash over grains at a petrol pump in Natore. Police have arrested one person in the incident. The incident took place on Wednesday (April 8) at around 9 am, near Friends Petroleum Agency in the city’s Station Bazar area.
Locals said that motorcyclists were standing in a queue to get oil. At that time, an argument started between a biker and a local resident, Zahurul Islam, over grains. When Mozammel Babu from the same area came forward to calm the situation, Zahurul also started arguing with him and later started fighting with a stick. Both were seriously injured.
When the locals rescued them and took them to Sadar Hospital, the doctor on duty sent Zahurul to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Later, the police arrested Mozammel Babu in his injured condition and took him to the police station. Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mansur Rahman said the situation is currently normal and Babu has been detained for questioning about the incident.
