Prime Minister congratulates Bangladesh SAFF U-20 football team

Bangladesh defeated India in the final of the SAFF U-20 tournament to become the champion. Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman congratulated the Bangladesh team for this glorious victory. Yesterday, Friday (April 4), the Bangladesh team retained the title for the second consecutive time by defeating India 4-3 in a tiebreaker in the final held in Male, Maldives.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said, “The government has started implementing all the plans taken to establish sports as a profession. In this context, this success of the youth will inspire the sports-loving people of the country. Inspired by patriotism and team spirit, our brave youth have proven that with collective efforts, Bangladesh’s chariot of victory at home and abroad will continue like this, InshaAllah.”
Incidentally, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman sincerely congratulated all the players, coaches and officials of the Bangladesh U-20 youth football team.
