Father dies after son stabs him

A son hacked his father to death in Barura, Comilla over a family dispute. The incident took place on Monday (March 30) night in the Pathanpara area of ​​the municipality. The deceased, Ali Akbar (55), is a resident of the area. Police have arrested the murderer, Abul Kalam (35). The murderer, Kalam, was sent to jail through a court on Tuesday (March 31) afternoon.
Police and locals said that Ali Akbar of the Pathanpara area had an argument with his son, Abul Kalam, around 11:30 pm yesterday over a family dispute. At that time, Ali Akbar was seriously injured after being hit by his son Kalam’s stab. Locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared him dead. At that time, the murderer fled. On receiving information, the police arrested Kalam with the help of locals. Both the father and son were rickshaw pullers.
In this regard, Barura Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Sanjay Sarkar said, there was a dispute between father and son over a family dispute. They had an argument last night. At that time, Ali Akbar was seriously injured when he was stabbed with a stick kept in the house. Locals rescued him and took him to the hospital, where he died. On receiving the information, we arrested the killer Abul Kalam. He was sent to jail this afternoon. He said, we are investigating what the dispute was between father and son. Although relatives have claimed that the killer Kalam had mental problems, we have not seen any such signs.
