Body of teenager recovered two days after going missing in Srimangal
Police have recovered the body of a teenager from Moulvibazar in Srimangal two days after he went missing. The deceased Junaid Mia (14) is the son of Ramiz Mia, a Dubai expatriate from Alisarkul village in Bhunbir union of the upazila. The family said that Junaid went missing from his home on Friday evening (March 27). Two days later, his body was recovered from Kamarpara area of Alisarkul outside the upazila at around 8:30 pm on Sunday.
After his disappearance, his father posted on social media in search of his son. After the body was recovered, Junaid’s father went on Facebook live and named a few people and demanded their arrest and trial. At that time, he sought the cooperation of local MPs and other dignitaries.
Meanwhile, the incident has spread panic in the entire area. Locals have demanded that those involved in the murder be brought to justice. Sreemangal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Zahirul Islam Munna confirmed the matter and said that the police are working on the matter. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
