20 injured in clash over trivial incident in Lakhai, Habiganj

A clash between two parties over a trivial incident took place in Mosadia village of Teghria union in Lakhai upazila of Habiganj upazila. At least 20 people from both sides were injured in this. The clash started around 2 pm today (March 29). Police reached the spot on receiving information and brought the situation under control.
Police and local sources said that this morning, there was an argument between Senu Mia and Awal Mia of Mosadia village over a children’s quarrel. At one point, people from both sides got involved in the clash with country-made weapons. At least 20 people from both sides were injured in this. On receiving information, the police quickly reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The injured were treated locally.
Lakhai Police Station OC Md. Zahidul Haque said that the situation in the area is currently normal. Additional police have been deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
