First meeting of 13th National Parliament Committee begins
The first meeting of the National Parliament Committee has begun to expedite the activities of the 13th National Parliament. The meeting began at 11 am today, Saturday (March 28) in the Cabinet Room of the National Parliament Secretariat. Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni is presiding over it. Deputy Leader of the Opposition Dr. Abdullah Taher and 11 members of the committee are present.
According to those concerned, this meeting is being held to decide on important issues including the housing problems of the members of parliament.
Meanwhile, a parliamentary meeting of the ruling party will also be held in the National Parliament at 4 pm. The meeting will be held in the ruling party’s meeting room at the Parliament Building. The BNP parliamentary party meeting may discuss 133 ordinances issued during the tenure of the interim government.
The report of the National Parliament’s special committee on these ordinances is scheduled to be submitted by April 2. The next session of the 13th National Parliament will begin tomorrow. This session of the parliament will continue until April 30. It is noteworthy that the first session of the 13th National Parliament began on March 12. Since then, various preparations have been underway to make parliamentary activities regular and dynamic. The activities of the parliamentary committees officially began with today’s meeting.
