Iran claims 78th round of strikes on Israeli, US targets

According to a report by the Tasnim News Agency, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it carried out its 78th round of retaliatory strikes as part of ‘Operation True Promise 4’ in the early hours of March 24. The IRGC said in a statement that the operation was dedicated to the people of Iran’s eastern region, which includes North Khorasan, Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan and Sistan-Baluchistan provinces.
The latest strikes were claimed to have targeted several key areas in Israel, including Tel Aviv. It also said that US military bases in the region were also targeted. The IRGC said the strikes were carried out using Imad and Qadr multi-warhead missiles and combat drones with ‘pinpoint strike’ capabilities.
The statement added that most units of the IRGC and Basij have not yet taken part in direct combat; their involvement, if necessary, would further intensify the conflict.
The IRGC claimed that the enemy’s attempts to change the course of the war had not escaped its notice. It also warned that it would take swift and severe measures against those who order, implement, and support any new aggression.
Following the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on February 28, the United States and Israel launched a major military campaign against Iran. The attack resulted in widespread airstrikes on military and civilian installations, causing casualties and damaging infrastructure. In response, Iran’s armed forces have launched multiple missile and drone strikes against Israeli targets and US bases in the Middle East.
