Jamaat Ameer and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was stopped by Speaker Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed from raising questions outside his purview. The incident took place during the discussion on the second day of the first session of the 13th National Parliament today, Sunday (March 15).

At this time, the Jamaat Ameer stood up and said, “In the discussion on the first day of this parliament, we admitted that this parliament was formed in a special context through the July mass uprising. The people have high expectations from this parliament. Two votes were held on the same day, the parliamentary elections and the referendum.” At this time, the Speaker stopped him.
