Father killed by son in Joypurhat

A father was killed by his son in Joypurhat for not buying him a motorcycle. The incident took place on Saturday (March 14) evening in Bafalgari village of Punat union in Kalai upazila.
Locals said that the son Golap Hossain demanded that his father Akkas Ali buy a motorcycle with the money he had sold potatoes. When his father refused to buy the motorcycle, Golap Hossain got angry and hit his father Akkas Ali with a stick and a wooden baton, killing him on the spot. At that time, when his mother and sister came to stop him, the son Golap Hossain also attacked them.
Locals rescued the injured and quickly sent them to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Later, when the villagers informed the police, the Kalai police station went to the spot, recovered the body and arrested the accused son Golap Hossain. Police said that no case has been filed in this incident yet.
