More than 43,000 US citizens have left the Middle East, 150 soldiers injured

More than 43,000 US citizens have returned to the United States from the Middle East since the conflict with Iran began. In addition, 150 US soldiers have been injured so far in the ongoing war with Iran. A special report by the news agency on Wednesday (March 11) said that eight US soldiers have been killed in the war so far. Reuters reported.
A special task force formed for this purpose has so far helped bring back about 30,000 people. The State Department said that more than two dozen charter flights have been operated to evacuate citizens from the Middle East.
However, these flights were filled to an average of less than 40 percent of the seats, as many US citizens returned home on their own using commercial flights. Previously, the number of injuries has never been disclosed. Before the Reuters report was published, the US defense headquarters Pentagon said that only eight US soldiers had been seriously injured.
However, after the Reuters report was published, the Pentagon said in a statement that the number of injured soldiers was about 140. However, most of the injuries were not serious. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said that 108 of the injured had already returned to duty. He added that eight of the seriously injured were receiving the highest level of treatment.
