Prime Minister Tarique Rahman congratulates the government and people of Nepal

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has congratulated the government and people of Nepal for the successful and peaceful completion of the parliamentary elections in Nepal. He described the elections held after a mass movement in the country as an important milestone in Nepal’s democratic journey.
In a post on his verified Facebook account on Monday (March 9) night, Tarique Rahman wrote, “Congratulations to the government and people of Nepal for the successful and peaceful completion of the parliamentary elections in Nepal held on March 5.”
The Prime Minister said that this important democratic process is a reflection of the aspirations and determination of the people of Nepal and an indication of the strength of the country’s democratic institutions. He also said that Bangladesh is eager to work closely with the new government and people of Nepal to further strengthen the long-standing bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
