Iran attacks Saudi oil fields despite warnings

Iran has again launched drone attacks targeting one of Saudi Arabia’s largest oil fields, the Shaybah oil field. Iran’s defense forces launched four explosive-laden drone attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Shaybah oil field early Monday (March 9). Al Jazeera reported.
However, Saudi Arabia was able to destroy the drones before they could hit the oil field with its air defense system. The country’s defense forces confirmed this information in a statement. Since the United States and Israel began their attacks on February 28, Iran has been carrying out a series of drone and missile attacks targeting US military bases, installations and oil installations in America’s Arab allies for the past 9 days.
Saudi Arabia issued a stern warning to Iran on Sunday after three attacks on the Shaybah oil field in 9 days. In a statement, the country’s Foreign Ministry said that if Iran continues to attack the oil fields of neighboring countries, it will be the country’s biggest defeat in the ongoing war. However, Iran ignored this warning and attacked the Shaybah oil field for the fourth time.
