Government withdraws ambassadors from 5 countries

The government has withdrawn Bangladesh’s ambassadors from a total of five countries, including the UK and Mexico. They have been ordered to report to the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Dhaka. The Foreign Ministry gave this information in a notification on Sunday (March 8).
It said that Bangladesh’s ambassadors on contract to Portugal, Poland, Mexico and the Maldives, M Mahfuzul Haque, Md Mainul Islam, M Mushfiqul Fazal (Ansari) and Md Nazmul Islam, respectively, have been withdrawn and transferred to the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka.
In addition, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to the UK, Abida Islam, has also been withdrawn and transferred to the ministry headquarters. These ambassadors and high commissioners have been ordered to join the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka immediately.
