Krishak League Acting President Jahangir Arrested in Capital

Police have arrested Krishak League Acting President Sheikh Md. Jahangir Alam from Adabor in the capital. He was arrested at around 9:45 pm yesterday, Sunday (March 8).
Police sources said that this top leader of Krishak League was arrested from Adabor area at night based on a secret tip-off. After the arrest, he was brought directly to the police station.
The matter was confirmed by Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Jewel Rana. He said that further legal action against Jahangir is under process.
It is worth noting that after the fall of the Awami League government in the 24th movement, Krishak League President Sameer Chanda was arrested, and Jahangir was made the acting president of the organization in December.
