10,000 liters of diesel in water tank in Natore
The upazila administration has recovered 10,000 liters of diesel from an underground water tank in a bamboo grove in Singra, Natore. The operation was conducted in the Ningaine area of the upazila on Saturday (March 7) afternoon. At that time, a mobile court fined a businessman named Rubel Hossain Tk 5,000 for creating an artificial crisis by hoarding fuel oil.
Singra Upazila Executive Officer Abdullah Al Rifat said that Rubel Hossain, owner of Satta Traders, had stored 10,000 liters of diesel in an underground water tank in a bamboo grove south of Bhatopara Mosque in Ningaine. Later, based on specific information, a raid was conducted in the area and the truth of the incident was found.
He also said that businessman Rubel Hossain has been fined Tk 5,000 for creating an artificial crisis by illegally storing a large amount of oil. He has also been ordered to transfer the oil to his shop and sell it through the normal process.
Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Shahadat Hossain, Upazila Agriculture Officer Khandaker Farid, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Md. Tashriful Islam and others were present in the operation.
