Youth arrested with huge amount of fake money and equipment

The District Detective Branch (DB) has arrested a youth with fake money making equipment and a huge amount of fake notes in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar. He was arrested during a raid on a rented house in Madhyam Merangloa Amtaliapara area of ​​Fatekharkul Union of the upazila around 1:30 pm on Friday (March 6).
The arrested Md. Imran (23) is known to be the son of Lutfar Rahman of Kholadanga area of ​​Jessore Sadar Upazila.
Police said that based on a secret tip-off that fake money was being made on rent, a team of the District Detective Branch conducted a raid on the house of local resident Babul Barua. During the raid, about five lakh fake takas along with one thousand and five hundred taka notes and various equipment for making fake money were seized from the house. Later, the arrested person was taken to the DB office for questioning.
District Detective Branch Officer-in-Charge (OC) Machiur Rahman said that after taking legal action in this incident, the arrested youth has been handed over to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station.
