Housewife gang-raped in Madhavadi

Not even 10 days after the rape and murder of a teenager in Madhavadi, Narsingdi, a mother of four children was gang-raped. After the victim filed a complaint in this incident on Friday morning (March 6), Madhavadi police station conducted a raid in the evening and arrested a man named Hridoy.
Police said that the victim had gone to Madhavadi market last Thursday afternoon to do Eid shopping. Hridoy stopped her on her way home around 8:30 pm after shopping. Later, he threatened her and took her to a secluded place. Three more people were already waiting there. The woman was gang-raped there. After the incident, the victim informed the family in detail and filed a written complaint with Madhavadi police station.
Madhavadi police station OC Kamal Hossain said that a case has been filed. A person named Hridoy involved in the incident has been arrested. The OC also said that the police operation is continuing to arrest the other accused. Arrangements have been made to send the victim to the hospital for a medical examination.
