Australia to send ‘crisis response’ team to Middle East

Australia has sent a ‘crisis response’ team to the Middle East. Canberra has also deployed military equipment to the region. Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information in a report quoting the country’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Anthony Albanese said that Australia has deployed some military equipment to the Middle East in preparation for a possible emergency. He told the Australian Parliament that the government has already sent six crisis response teams to the region.
Albanese said, “We deployed military equipment as part of our contingency planning earlier this week.” However, he did not provide any details on this matter. Australian media outlet SBS News reported that two Australian military aircraft have been sent to the Middle East.
