I have accepted the election results with a heavy heart: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman
I have accepted the election results with a heavy heart, said Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at Jamaat-e-Islami’s Iftar Mahfil in Sylhet on Friday (February 27).
At that time, he said, Jamaat will not be a reliable opposition party. Jamaat will appreciate good work but will protest if there is injustice and stop it if necessary. Calling for working together with the government, he said, the government will change the country by stopping corruption and extortion in the next five years without suppressing the opposition. In addition to political leaders of eleven parties and BNP, people from different classes and professions participated in the Iftar.
