Urgent instructions for government employees

The Cabinet Division has issued instructions to be present in the office and leave at specific times. This instruction has been given to the officers and employees of government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations. A letter of this instruction has been sent from the Cabinet Division to all ministries and divisional commissioners and district administrators.
This letter was sent to the Cabinet today (February 24). It is stated that as per the instructions of the ‘Government Employees (Regular Attendance) Rules, 2019’ and ‘Secretariat Instructions, 2024’, it is mandatory for all officers/employees of government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations to be present in the office and leave at specific times.
Necessary action has been taken in this regard and subordinate departments/organizations have been requested to issue instructions in this regard. The letter also mentions that all field level office officers/employees will have to leave the workplace on weekly or other holidays with the permission of their respective authorities.
