Gas leakage in the capital, 4 people including a child burnt

Four people including a child from the same family were burnt in a gas leakage explosion in a rented house in Rayerbazar under Hazaribagh police station in the capital. The incident took place at 3:45 am yesterday, Sunday (February 22).
Among the burnt people are Sheikh Roman (35), his wife Pinky Akhter (32), their three-year-old son Mayan (03) and Roman’s brother-in-law Apu (23). The burnt people were rescued and quickly taken to the emergency department of the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, where the doctor on duty admitted them. They are currently being kept under observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Md. Mamun Jalan, who took the burnt people to the hospital, said that a gas leakage explosion occurred in a rented house on the sixth floor of Jahanara Villa Building No. 147 in Rayerbazar in Hazaribagh and a fire broke out immediately. Four people from the same family were burnt in this. Later, they were rescued and admitted to the National Burn Institute.
He further said that Sheikh Roman’s village is in Mohammadpur area of ​​Khaliajuri police station in Netrokona district. He is the son of Sheikh Golam Maula. He currently lives with his family in a rented house on the 6th floor of Jahanara Villa No. 147 in East Rayerbazar.
Assistant Professor Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, resident physician at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said that four members of the same family, including a child, who were burnt in the fire in Rayerbazar in Hazaribagh, have been admitted to the hospital. Among them, Sheikh Roman has 25 percent burns, Pinky Akhter has 75 percent burns, Shishu Mayan has 24 percent burns and Apu has 7 percent burns. The doctor further said that all the burnt victims have been kept in the intensive care unit and their condition is critical.
