Jamaat Ameer’s Facebook status goes viral in the morning
On International Mother Language Day, the slogan ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ has become a topic of discussion on the country’s social media. This time, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has also given a status in the same tone. He also said ‘Inquilab Zindabad’.
Today, Sunday (February 22), Dr. Shafiqur Rahman made a post on his verified Facebook page at around 6 am. In that post, he wrote, ‘InshaAllah, tomorrow’s Bangladesh will be a Bangladesh of justice. Inquilab Zindabad.’ The post went viral in a short time. 2.25 lakh reactions were received within 4 hours. More than 26 thousand comments were received. The post was shared at least 3.2 thousand times.
The Jamaat Ameer made such a post in response to a statement made by Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tukur yesterday. The power minister said, ‘If Bengali has to be embraced, if Bengali has to be called the mother tongue, then Inquilab Zindabad will not work. Inquilab Zindabad, Inquilab Manch—Bengalis have nothing to do with these.’ He also said, ‘If I say these things, they will make me an agent of India, but I will still say them. Because, I went to the liberation war because I have a life and I became a minister.’ After the minister’s statement, discussions started on social media. Hasnat Abdullah, Nasiruddin Patwari and Sarjis Alam had earlier posted in the same tone. Then the Jamaat Ameer also gave a status on this issue.
