There should be no corruption in the education sector, it will not be allowed to happen: Education Minister

Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon has warned that there should be no corruption in the education sector, it will not be allowed to happen. He said that the corruption that took place in the name of setting up labs in educational institutions during the previous government will be investigated and brought to justice.
He said this while talking to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday (February 19) morning. The Education Minister said that there will be no more corruption in the Education Ministry. Teacher transfers will be brought under a system. Transfer trade will be stopped. He also said that education will be the first investment of the state. Not certificates, but capacity will be assessed. Hafiz reciters and scholars will be given state recognition. The Education Minister also said that English medium schools will be brought under the control of the ministry.
On the other hand, State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj said that politics will not be done with education; we will work to build the state through education. Education is the most powerful tool to build the Bangladesh that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman envisions as skilled, fair, technologically capable and values-based. He added, “As the Ministry of Education, it is our responsibility to make that dream a reality – in the budget, in the classroom, in examinations and in employment.”
