House with cows gutted in horrific fire

A house with cows gutted in horrific fire in Natore’s Lalpur upazila. The owner of the cow, a helpless daily wage earner, was severely burnt in the incident. The accident occurred at around 12 am on Tuesday (February 17) in Chamtia village of the upazila.
It is learnt that at around 12 am, Amin Uddin’s son Md. Mizanur Rahman lit a fire in his cowshed in Chamtia village of the upazila with a coil to kill mosquitoes. As a result, the fire quickly spread to the cowshed. Within moments, the fire engulfed the entire house. The entire cowshed, including a cow, was burnt.
While trying to extinguish the fire, some parts of Mizanur Rahman’s hand were severely burnt. Although the locals quickly brought the fire under control, extensive damage was done by then. Local sources said that Mizanur Rahman is a poor and helpless daily wage earner. The cow was one of his main sources of income. He was completely destroyed in the fire.
