Jubo League leader arrested in Nabinagar

Police have arrested Saiful Islam Alam (45), the president of Natghar Union Jubo League in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria and a fugitive sentenced to one year in prison. He was arrested in a raid conducted from an area of ​​the district headquarters around 8 pm on Tuesday (February 17). According to police sources, Saiful Islam Alam had been in hiding since the political unrest of August 5. He has multiple cases against him, including one case that carries a one-year prison sentence, but he has been on the run for a long time.
Based on confidential information, Nabinagar police station police arrested him from Brahmanbaria city last night with the help of district police. Nabinagar police station OC Rafiqul Islam confirmed the arrest and said that the arrested Alam is a convicted accused. The police had been looking for him for a long time as there was a court warrant against him. Finally, he was brought under the law through a special operation.
