Jubo League leader hacked to death in Bhola

Abdur Rahim Bhutto (45), the organizing secretary of Jubo League of Ward No. 5 of Rasulpur Union in Char Fashion Upazila of Bhola, was hacked to death indiscriminately. The incident took place at around 10 pm on Saturday (February 14) at the head of Kalerhat Road in Ward No. 5 of Nazrulnagar Union of the upazila. The deceased Abdur Rahim Bhutto is the son of the deceased Akhtaruzzaman Sohel of the same area. The initial suspicion of the police is that the murder may have taken place due to a dispute over drug dealing.
Police said that miscreants stabbed Abdur Rahim Bhutto and hacked him to death indiscriminately last night. Later, local residents rescued him in a seriously injured condition and took him to Char Fashion Government Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer Md. Riaz Uddin said that Abdur Rahim Bhutto died before being brought to the hospital. In this regard, Shashibhushan Police Station OC Fakhrul Islam said, “An investigation is underway to find out the reason for the murder. Efforts are being made to identify and quickly arrest those involved in the incident.”
