I have heard people say, ‘Even if you take money, you will vote properly’: Asif in Sirajganj

National Citizens’ Party (NCP) election management committee chief Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said, you still think that you will buy votes by paying 500/1000 taka. However, I have heard people say that they will take money properly but will vote wherever they want. He said this while campaigning for the Yes vote with Saif Mostafiz, the candidate of the 11-party alliance for Sirajganj-6 constituency, at the BSCIC bus stand area in Shahjadpur on Sunday (February 1) afternoon. Asif said, you will take money from those who have earned thousands of crores of taka by looting, defaulting on bank loans and defaulting on loans. But you will vote only for those who can change your life.
Regarding BNP, he said that almost all political parties in the country have officially voted for the ‘Yes’ vote, except for a self-proclaimed party in Delhi. I have seen their leaders and workers campaigning for a ‘no’ vote at the field level. If they vote ‘yes’, then there will be no Bismillah, this will happen, that will happen—they are trying to mislead the people of the village by telling various lies. If they still do that, then we will have to join hands with their leaders and call them ‘gupta-gupta’. He also said that those who boost the economy of this country do not get the reward for it. With the support of BNP-Awami League, the new rich, middlemen and capitalists get the reward. We have announced in our manifesto that if the alliance wins, all services will be provided through smart cards. Asif said, one party talks about family cards, but Sharif Osman Hadi and Felani gave their lives in the anti-aggression movement. But if elected, they do not say a single word about what they will do against those anti-aggression forces.
