Giving tickets to heaven, making people commit shirk: Tarique Rahman

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has strongly criticized Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, pointing to their recent statements regarding the 13th National Parliament elections. Without naming Jamaat, he said that a party is talking about giving tickets to heaven before the elections. They are not only deceiving people, but are also making Muslims commit shirk; Nauzubillah.
He said these things at the first election rally of BNP organized at the government Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet this Thursday (January 22) afternoon. The BNP Chairman started his election journey with a rally at the Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet.
At one point during the speech of the chief guest, Tarique Rahman called a person standing as a spectator at the rally to the stage and asked, “Have you been to Kaaba Sharif, who is the owner of Kaaba Sharif?” The person replied, “Allah”. Then Tarique Rahman asked, ‘We are all Muslims, who owns the world we see in this day and age?’ The answer was, ‘Allah’.
The BNP Chairman asked again, ‘Who owns the sun and stars we see?’ The answer was, ‘Allah’. Tarique Rahman asked, ‘Who owns heaven?’ In response, the person said, ‘Allah’. Now Tarique Rahman asked, ‘Who owns hell?’ The answer was, ‘Allah’. At that time, the crowd present was also answering in unison, ‘Allah, Allah’.
Then the BNP Chairman said – You all have borne witness, the owner of hell is Allah; the owner of heaven is Allah, the owner of this earth is Allah, the owner of the Kaaba is Allah. Hey brother, does anyone else have the power to give what is owned by Allah? No. So before the election, a party says, ‘This God, that God’, ‘This God’, ‘Allah doesn’t it say, ‘I will give tickets?’ If it talks about something that is not owned by humans, then is it committing shirk or not? Whose owner is Allah, whose right is only Allah, the only right of everything – above all the right of Allah. So they are deceiving you before, how will they deceive you after the elections – understand now.
Tarique Rahman said, ‘They are not only deceiving people, they are making Muslims partners with Allah; Naujubillah. Dear brothers and sisters, some say I saw so and so, I saw that – now see this.’
At this time, the BNP Chairman said, ‘Dear brothers and sisters, the war of 1971, where this country was liberated at the cost of the lives of millions of people, this beloved motherland. We saw the role of many during the independence of that motherland. Due to whose role millions of brothers of this country were martyred. Millions of mothers and sisters of this country – their honor was damaged; therefore, the people of Bangladesh have already seen them.’ He said, ‘We have to unite against this kufr, against this shamelessness, against this falsehood. We have to stay in that regressive Bangladesh.’
