Voting ‘yes’ in referendum will not bring back dictatorship in the country: Information Advisor

Calling for a ‘yes’ vote in the referendum, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, said, ‘Through a yes vote, dictatorship will never come back to the country.’ She said, ‘There is no doubt about the upcoming elections. The elections will be held.’
She said this while talking to journalists while participating in a program titled ‘Referendum 2026 on various issues of women and children’ under the awareness campaign for the development of children, adolescents and women implemented by Bangladesh Betar in collaboration with the Mass Communication Department at Radio Colony ground in Savar on Tuesday (January 20) afternoon. She also spoke to rickshaw pullers who joined the campaign.
Syeda Rizwana Hasan said, “We have to go vote now. The voting date is next Thursday. If we vote yes, Bangladesh will be free from discrimination, exploitation and oppression.” He urged everyone to vote ‘yes’ with the resolve to build a new Bangladesh in the spirit of July. Information and Broadcasting Ministry Secretary Mahbuba Farzana, Additional Secretary (Development) and Project Director Md. Yasin, Joint Secretary Riasat Al Wasif, Bangladesh Betar Director General ASM Zahid and others were present at the event.
