In an interview with Indian news agency PTI, the child’s father Sanjay Kumar said, “We wanted a boy this time. My elder daughter was also expecting her younger brother.”
Sanjay Kumar got married in 2007. Most of his 10 daughters now go to school. He says his eldest daughter Sarina is now studying in class 12. Despite his limited income, Sanjay is trying to educate all his children. “I am happy with what God has given me,” he said.
