Mamunul Haque’s assets in the affidavit

The annual income of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Mamunul Haque is more than 13 lakh taka. He mentioned in his election affidavit that he earns this income through business and teaching. This information was revealed in the affidavit submitted by Mamunul Haque to the Election Commission (EC) on the occasion of the 13th National Parliament election. He has submitted his nomination papers to contest from Dhaka-13 and Bagerhat-1 constituencies. Mamunul Haque’s immovable assets include non-agricultural land, the financial value of which at the time of acquisition was 81 lakh 88 thousand 558 taka. He has assets of about 1 crore 68 lakh taka, including movable and immovable assets.

According to the affidavit, Mamunul Haque’s total annual income is Tk 13 lakh 15 thousand 334. Out of this, his income from teaching is Tk 6 lakh 56 thousand 890 and from business he is Tk 6 lakh 58 thousand 444.
Mamunul Haque, 53, has mentioned his permanent address as Lalbagh, Dhaka and current address as Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Among the movable assets, Mamunul Haque has Tk 83 lakh 2 thousand 837 in cash and bonds, loans, shares of companies listed and delisted on the stock exchange worth Tk 1 lakh. There is furniture worth Tk 2 lakh. His total movable assets are more than Tk 86 lakh.
Among the immovable assets, Mamunul Haque has non-agricultural land, the financial value of which at the time of acquisition is Tk 81 lakh 88 thousand 558. He has assets worth about Tk 1 crore 68 lakh, including movable and immovable assets. In his income tax return, Mamunul Haque has shown his income as Tk 8 lakh 76 thousand 890. He paid income tax of Tk 49,034. In his income tax return, he showed assets of Tk 1 crore 67 lakh 91 thousand 395. According to the Haqmand, there are currently three criminal cases pending against Mamunul Haque. Out of these, one case has been stayed by the High Court and the remaining two cases are currently pending and under investigation. A total of 38 criminal cases have been filed against Mamunul Haque from 2012 to 2021. They have been acquitted or withdrawn or he has been discharged. Of these, the highest number of cases were filed in 2021 – 19.
