Tarique Rahman’s nomination paper declared valid for Bogra-6 constituency

The Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer have declared the nomination paper of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman valid for Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituency. His nomination paper was declared valid after scrutiny at 10:25 am today, Saturday (January 3).
In addition, the nomination paper of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel for the same constituency has also been declared valid. However, the nomination paper of Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) nominated candidate Dilruba Noori for this constituency has been cancelled. According to sources in the Returning Officer’s office, her nomination paper was cancelled due to non-filing of income tax return.
